In a significant development, the Hyderabad High Court on Monday issued notices to the Speaker of Telangana Assembly Madhusudhana Chary over 12 MLAs of Telangana TDP merger into ruling TRS.
The High Court on Wednesday gave direction to Telangana Speaker Madhusudhana Chary to take a decision on disqualifying TTDP MLAs, those who defected to ruling TRS, within 90 days.
TDP MLA Revanth Reddy has filed a supplementary petition requesting the High Court to scrap the Bulletin issued by Assembly Secretary on March 10 stating that T-TDP has been merged into the TRS.
Hearing on the case, High Court has issued directions to Telangana Speaker and told the merger could be a valid merger. It’s a setback to ruling TRS party and the 12 MLAs who joined TRS party. Court agreed to the arguments that when disqualification petition was pending, issuing Bulletin over merger is invalid.
