Heatwave conditions continued to prevail in the districts of Guntur, Prakasham and Nellore of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda and Karimnagar of Telangana and Chittoor of Rayalaseema even as the highest maximum temperature of 47 degrees celsius was record at Rentachintala. A bulletin from Meteorological Centere here today said heatwave conditions would continue to prevail in Adilabad and rest of the above districts during next two days. On saturday, the maximum temperatures changed little over Telangana and Rayalaseema but fell at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
They were appreciably above normal at many places over Rayalaseema, at one or two places in the remaining districts of Telangana and above normal at one or two places in the remaining districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rain occured over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana while mainly dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema. Veeragattam (Srikakulam district) recorded a rainfall of 5 CM followed by Paderu (Vishakhapatnam district) 4, Pathapatnam (Srikakulam district) 2, Tuni, Kakinada (East Godavari district), Narsipatnam, Anakapalli (Vishakhapatnam district) 1 each.
Forecast and Farmers’ weather bulletin valid until the morning of May 22, 2012 indicated isolated rain or thundershowers would occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema.
Outlook for subsequent two days said there will be no large change. Forecast for Hyderabad City and Neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 22, 2012 said sky condition would be partly Cloudy. Thunder clouds may develop. The Maximum and Minimum temperatures would be around 42 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin said.
