HC adjourns Jagan’s bail plea

The Andhra Pradesh High Court today posted the hearing till tomorrow on the bail petition filed by YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and the CBI petition allowing the custody of Mr Jagan in the disproportionate assets case. The Vacation Judge allowed Mr Jagan’s counsel to present his arguments tomorrow and issued notices to the CBI to file counter. Mr Jagan was currently lodged in the Chanchalguda Jail after being remanded to judicial custody by the Principal Special CBI Court on May 28. The Judge also adjourned Mr Jagan’s separate petitions which sought additional facilities in the Chanchalguda Jail, and challenged his judicial remand issued by the CBI court. The high court also posted the hearing to June 6 the petition filed by one Bhiksham Raju challenging the ‘illegal arrest and remand’ of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy. Meanwhile, the CBI court has extended the judicial remand of bureaucrat Brahmananda Reddy to June 12 in the Disproportinate Assets Case of Mr Jagan. The court also extended the judicial remand till June 18 of IAS Officer B P Acharya, Trimex Group Chairman Koneru Prasad, Mr Jagan’s distant releative Sunil Reddy and Emaar MGF Finance head (south) G V Vijay Raghav in the Emaar Township Case.
