HC adjourns CBI’s petition on Vijay Sai’s bail

The Andhra Pradesh High Court today adjourned the hearing till tomorrow on CBI’s petition for cancelling the bail granted to Jagathi Publications Vice-Chairman Vijay Sai Reddy by the CBI special court in the alleged disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Mr Justice K C Bhanu adjourned the hearing after the counsel of Vijay Sai Reddy sought time for filing the counter.

On April 16, the High Court Judge, while adjourning the petition of the CBI, had asked Mr Reddy to give his explanation on the investigating agency’s petition by today. CBI Court Judge B Naga Maruthi Sharma on April 13 had granted bail to Vaijayasai. The agency had later filed a petition in the form of urgent lunch motion in the High Court seeking cancellation of bail to him on April 16. Mr Reddy has been named accused No.2 in the charge sheet filed by the CBI in the case recently.
