Hayden Cross becomes first British man to give birth

heyden-crossHayden Cross, 21, made headlines around the world by becoming the first British man to give birth.

Hayden Cross, who has been legally male for three years, paused his gender reassignment to have a child. He was pregnant by a sperm donor, who met him on Facebook. The man came to his house and passed the sperm in a pot and he did it via a syringe. He was pregnant two weeks after the sperm was inserted.

His daughter Trinity-Leigh was born by caesarean on 16 June.

Before completing his transition he asked the NHS to freeze his eggs in a £4,000 process in the hope he might have children years later. But they refused.

He now plans to complete his gender reassignment to remove his breasts and ovaries.
