Harish Shankar’s clarification to Brahmins on DJ song

harish-shankarStylish star Allu Arjun’s next, Duvvada Jagannadham (DJ), starring Pooja Hegde landed in controversy as the Brahmin associations objecting to some of the lyrics in a recently released song from the film.

The song ‘Gudilo Badilo Madilo Vodilo’ which is penned by Sahithi turned objectionable for using Namakam , Chamakam words which are used in Lord Shiva pooja.

Brahim organizations have alleged that they have taken the words from Lord Shiva’s recital ‘Namakam Chamakam’, and made a pun on it. They made fun of the Rudra Strotram with lyrics like, “Aalakinchindhi aa namakam, prabharalo pranaya manthrame choosi, pulakarinchindhi aa chamakam, agrahaaraala thamalapaakalle thaakuthondi thamakam…”

Reacting on this Harish Shankar who belongs to Brahmin community explained that, He said they used “Pravara ” word in the song the word tells about the dynasty -those who belong toRushi Vamsham they use it to introduce themselves. The word “agrahaaraala thamalapaakalle” is used as the boy(allu Arjun0 belongs to Brahmin community, he can only compare her girlfriend with his surrounding items but cannot compare with “Pakistan” tamalapakulu.

He said, Dil Raju build a Lord Venkateshwara temple in Nizamabad, he has respect for Hinduism, they have spent 70 crores not for targeting a Brahmin community. He said, A Brahim is shown as Hero and not criticising them. Many Brahmin community people have praised for the good lyrical values of the song. He said Being a Brahim he can’t spit on his own community. He requested those who are opposing to understand the song which got a huge response of more than 5 million hits on Youtube.
