Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal has stated that the Election Commission made full-proof arrangements for counting of votes in 18 Assembly constituencies and Nellore Lok Sabha constituency on Friday.
Talking to media persons at the State Secretariat after emerging out of meeting conducted through video-conference with District Collectors and Superintendents of Police to discuss over the arrangements for counting votes, the Chief Electoral Officer said that the counting of votes would begin from morning 8 am in all centres.
Stating that three-phased security has been arranged to prevent untoward incidents, he said that 3-4 rounds counting would be completed by 11 am and entire counting process would be completed by 3 pm.
An election observer has been deputed at each round table to monitor the counting process, he said and added media centres have been established to provide information over the counting.
He said that usage of cell phones have been banned at the counting centres and a ban has been imposed over the sale of liquor in the respective constituencies, where counting going on, from Thursday 12 night to Friday 12 night.
He also stated rallies and processions have been banned during the counting process on Friday. However, the rallies and processions can be taken up after the completion of counting process, he stated.
