Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the first ever National Women’s Parliament at Pavitra Sangamam on the outskirts of the Vijayawada .
Apart from 10k girl students, Chandrababu Naidu, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama and Parliamentarians, Legislators, social workers and corporate sector women have participated in the event.
In his address Naidu said, Its the fourth industrial revolution and women should be given equal opportunity . He said His Government is providing 33 per cent reservations to women in local body elections and hoped that women would play vital role in the growth of the country in future. He said, TDP founder NT Rama Rao was the one who provided equal share in property to women in the state.
