Bollywood actor Salman Khan is showing his box office stamina with his latest release ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. Despite of mixed reviews, as per the latest trade reports, the movie raked to collect a record share of around Rs. 48.92 crores. The movie collected Rs. 32.92 crores on its first day itself. This is highest so far for any movie in India and these collections giving shocks even to trade pundits. It proves once again how big commercial hero in Bollywood.
Salman’s last few releases like- Body Guard, Ready and Dabangg are the blockbusters and this effect showed on ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#EkThaTiger Thu figure is 15 + for sure. Numbers still being compiled. This figure, I repeat, is the BIGGEST weekday number ever. #EkThaTiger Wed biz was monstrous, so the decline in biz the very next day [Thu], a regular working day, will be debated and discussed.”
Katrina Kaif played lead heroine in the film, directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. As per the trade analysts, the film is going to do more business in weekend days- Saturday and Sunday. It’s not a big deal if the movie collects 100 crores for 5 days of run. We can say- Tiger roaring at Box Office.
