Eight extremists killed in Police encounter

rp_Maoists-300x211.jpgIn a major encounter, Eight extremists of a newly formed Left wing group belonging to the Chandra Pulla Reddy group were killed in an exchange of fire between police and the extremists at Tekupalli forest area in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana on Thursday.

The Special force of the state GreyHounds gunned down 8 members of a Maoist group in an encounter in Bhadradri Kothagudem; 2 SLR, 2 8mm rifles and other weapons recovered

Police said they came under fire from the group when they ambushed a suspected forest hideout in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. CPI-MLs’ Chandra Pulla Reddy Baata group, which was formed in July this year . This is the first major gunfight between police and Maoists since formation of Telangana in 2014.
