ED ends questioning accused in OMC case

A five-member Enforcement Directorate team today grilled the accused involved in the Obulapuram Mining case, in the Chanchalguda Central Jail where they were lodged on charges of money laundering and other related violations. The questioning which was done in the presence of the accused lawyers at 1030 hours, ended at 1700 hours. The ED questioned Obulapuram Managing Director B V Srinivas Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC)’s former Managing Director V D Rajagopal for nearly seven hours and suspended IAS officer Srilakshmi for three hours at the women prision in the jail. Sources said the ED slueths had recorded their statements after they putforth a volley of questions on charge of money laundering, conspiracy, cheating and criminal misdeeds committed by them in the case.
