EC serious over Jagan Mohan Reddy’s comments

rp_jagan-chandra-babu-naidu1-300x193-300x193-300x193.jpgYSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy’s latest controversial remark on ‘shooting Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the middle of the road’, catch the attention of Election Commission.

The Election Commission has taken up this case as Suo- Moto and the Election Commissioner Banvarlal has asked Kurnool District Collector to prepare a detailed analysis of teh Jagan’s speech in Kurnool and also analyze the circumstance that provoked Jagan to make such remarks in the meeting.

He told the Kurnool collector to submit a detailed report and if Jagan comments are found to be against Election code of conduct, action will be taken. The report will be forwarded to Central Election Commission.

Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya already lodged a complaint before EC in this regard. As per the Representation of People’s Act, Section-125, if anyone is trying to provoke enmity between two different groups during elections based on caste, religion, community, group, language, he or she is prone to punishment of up to three years imprisonment or fine or both.
