Duplicate Laptop barreries, Adaptors seized: five held

The city police today conducted raids on several shops at Secunderabad area and arrested five perons who were indulging in sale of duplicate Laptop battereis and adaptors in the name of reputed companies like HP, Lenova, Toshibas. Police siezed 350 battereies, 330 adaptors and 1100 Holograms all worth of Rs 14 lakhs from their shops. In a release, police here said, on a credible information, North Zone Task Force Team conducted surprise raids on several shops in CTC building, Parklane, Secunderabad and apprehended Nakul Saraf (24), proprietor of Prem Computer, Praveen Singh (21) owner of Vinayak Technologies, Suresh Chunnilal Purohit (28), owner, Dram-India, Dilip Vardhan (32), owner of Sonic info and Nathuram Purohit (59) for the offence. The accused were purchased the duplicate batteries, adaptors and holograms from Mumbai, Delhi ranging from Rs 800 to Rs. 900 and selling the same for Rs 2900 to Rs. 3000.
