Drug racket in Hyderabad : Air Force officer and Scientist arrested

drugIn a major Drug racket in Hyderabad, The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a serving wing commander of the Indian Air Force .

Wing Commander G Rajasekhar Reddy was arrested by the Nanded police when he was trying to escape to Goa after his friend the Key person, Bangalore-based Scientist Venkat Rama Rao was arrested. Venkat Rama Rao, and his wife were arrested with 231 kg of amphetamine worth Rs 231 crore in Internationa market.

Venkat Rama Rao, 37, a scientist with a reputed chemical unit in Bengaluru, he took a factory for lease claiming to manufacture mediacain for Diarrhoea in IDA Bolaram. However, instead of making the medicine amphetamine . is a potent central nervous system stimulant and used as an aphrodisiac and euphoriant by abusers.

Venkat Rama and his Hyderabad assoicuate Ravi confessed that they were selling amphetamine to overseas clients based in South East Asian and African countries. NCB sleuths have filed cases against Vekata Rama Rao and his wife , Rajasekhar Reddy and Ravi Shankar and have sent them to remand.
