Political drama over Congress member KVP Ramachandra Rao’s private member bill moved in the Rajya Sabha seeking special status category for Andhra Pradesh, ends with adjournment of the Rajya sabha till monday.
Congress high command, which is trying to revive the party issued a three-line whip to all its 60 members in the 243-member Upper House to vote for the bill.
However when the bill came for discussion, BJP members came into well demanding discussion over dismissing of AAP Lok Sabha member, which is irrelevant in Rajya sabha.
However , TDP remained neutral, it alalged that Congress is shedding crocodile tears on the SCS. It request the Chair to bring house in order.
While that Congress still hopes for voting on Monday. All the political parties extended support to the private bill, but the NDA government turned it down. If Chandrababu Naidu turns against the GST Bill, then NDA government will definitely approve the bill on private status to AP, said AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh.
