TDP MLC Yelamanchili Babu Rajendra Prasad has appealed to the media not to drag actor Jr NTR into the controversy surrounding the meeting of TDP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi with Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to the media here on Monday, he said that those who trusted late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his son Jagan Mohan Reddy were cooling their heels in jails. He said that rich industrialists, who invested huge sums in Jagan’s companies were now languishing behind the bars.
Rajendra Prasad has asked Jagan to swear whether he had not resorted to a series of murders to cover up his involvement in the murder of TDP leader Paritala Ravindra. He also questioned as to why Jagan, who trusted CBI when it gave a clean chit to him in the Paritala Ravindra murder case, was not doing so now. He said that it was sad that he had suddenly developed doubts about the agency’s credentials for the reasons best known to him.
Rajendra Prasad said that investigation into any major crime in the State was leading to a Pulivendula connection. He said that Jagan would have dubious distinction of being the most corrupt and worst plunderer in the entire country. He said that his consoling people and weeping over his father’s death was only a drama to gain sympathy of the people and electoral gains. He stated that those who resort to caste and religious equations in politics would not last long.
Referring to the banner story of ‘Dushta Chatustayam’ (The unholy quartet) in Sakshi newspaper today, Rajendra Prasad said that in fact Jagan, Bhanu Kiran, Maddelacheruvu Suri and Mangali Krishna were the quartet.
He warned people leaning towards Jagan that it was the “hug of Dhrutarashtra” that Jagan was offering them. Referring to the meeting of TDP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Jagan hugging him, Rajendra Prasad said Vamsi has given his explanation and requested the media not to drag Jr. NTR into the controversy.
