AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi described the Union budget presented by the Finance minister Arun Jaitley as disappointing budget for Muslims
He said , Muslims population is around 24+ crores out of 120+ crores Indian population, which means they are 20% of country population. But the allocations were mere 0.21 percent. Out of 21 + Lakh crores expenditure only 4515 crores were allaocted to them, representing an increase of Rs 368.23 crores or just 9.63 percent compared to last year.
The per capita outlay for minorities comes to only Rs 187 per capita. The per capita budgetary expenditure for the country’s population is Rs 17,730.
The Union Budget for 2017-18 looks hardly inspiring. There is nothing worthwhile for every section of society and every sector of the country’s economy.
