Dasari grilled by CBI in Coal Scam

In a surprise move, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) grilled  Congress Ex-Minister of state in Ministry of Coal Dasari Narayana Rao for nearly three hours at his guest house in Moinabad today. CBI mainly focused on the coal deposits allotments showed him some documented proof and asked his view and clarification.

Apart, CBI on Tuesday registered cases against five companies on charges of cheating in connection with the coal blocks allocation.The investigating agency, which also registered cases against unknown government officials as part of its probe into alleged irregularities in allocation of coal blocks, also conducted raids at about 30 locations in ten cities, including Kolkata, Patna, Hyderabad, Dhanbad, Nagpur, Mumbai and New Delhi.

According to media reports, the FIRs have been registered against unknown officials of Jas Infrastructure, AMR, JLD Yavatmal, Viny Iron and Navbharat Power, and also against some government officials.
