Court rejects bail for Akbaruddin
The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court at Sanga Reddy today dismissed the bail petition of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi again in a case relating to manhandling of an IAS officer in 2005. Judge K Maruthi Devi had passed the orders dismissing the bail after Mr Owaisi’s counsel filed a bail petition in the court this morning and also after hearing the arguments from both sides. The court had, yesterday, rejected the bail petition of Mr Owaisi, who is presently under 14-day judicial remand and lodged in a district jail at Kandi in Medak district. Mr Owaisi, his brother and MIM MLA Akbaruddin owaisi and others were accused in the manhandling case of the IAS Officer A K Singhal for facilitating the demolition of a mosque as part of road widening works in Sanga Reddy in 2005. Mr Akbaruddin was arrested and loged in a district jail in Adilabad for delivering hate speeches in Nirmal town last month. Cases were registered under Sections 147, 153-A, 353, 290, 295-A, 186, 341, 504 and 506 of IPC and under Section 7 of Criminal Amendment Act against them.
