Congress stand on Telangana

PCC President Botcha Satyanarayna today said the Congress party will announce its stand on the separate Telangana statehood issue after the party’s plenary session being held on December 16.

Talking to reporters after reviewing the arrangements for the session at LB Stadium ,Hyderabad, Mr Satyanarayana said that the party would discuss and finalise the decision on creation of Telangana state to be conveyed during the all-party meeting on December 28 after the party’s plenary session. The representatives for the all-party meeting would also be shortlisted after the plenary session, he informed.

The Coordination committee meeting of the party schedule dto be held on December 15 has been postponed as the Union Health Minister and incharge of AP Congress affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad was busy with other event in New Delhi, he said the new date for the coordination committee meeting will be decided later. Denying reports of groupism within the Congress party, he said the Congress leaders were working unitedly to take the state and Central schemes at the doorsteps of the people.
