Congress demands apology from minister to KVP

kvpThe claim over Polavarma irrigation project in Andhra Pradesh takes a political turn with Congress Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu demanding the release of “White Paper”.

Minister for Water Resources and Management Devineni Umamaheswara Rao criticized the Congress for neglecting the project for 10 years and said KVP has no moral right to criticize Naidu. The govt has already spent over Rs 21k crores on irrigation projects and Rs 3247 crores on Polavaram.

On the other hand, Congress President Malladi Vishnu demanded an open apology from the minister to KVP. The leader was behind the implementation of several welfare schemes during the Congress rule and Polavaram Right Main canal was dug up during Rajasekhar Reddy’s regime.
