CM to whitewash cases against Mopidevi

It looks like Excise minister Mopidevi Venkataramana is a happy man as he  has been bailed out of the liquor syndicates case and stage is set to give him a clean chit in the scam.

Mopidevi met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the camp office on Satuday and finalized the deal. He apparently told the Chief Minister that if he does not get a clean chit in the case, it would have serious repercussions on the party prospects in the next elections.

While Dalit groups are already disgruntled against the Congress party in the wake of sacking of Shankar Rao and demolition of Ambedkar statues, the BC organizations are gearing up to fight against the government for targeting Mopidevi.

The Chief Minister is learnt to have instructed the ACB authorities to go slow in the investigation and see that evidences against Mopidevi do not surface. It is likely that the minister’s name will not figure in the charge sheet to be filed by the ACB in the court shortly.
