CM spending more time on pacifying dissidents
Communist Party of India (CPI) Andhra Pradesh Unit Secretary K Narayana today alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was focusing more on tackling dissidents than development in the state. Talking to media persons here, Mr Narayana came down heavily on the state government for not taking any steps to redress the problems being faced by the people in the state. The government had totally failed to focus its attention on solving people’s problems, he claimed.
He accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of spending most of his time on pacifying the dissidents and to settle the political scores with Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Botsa Satyanarayana. Mr Narayana took serious note on the Chief Minister transferring ACB Additional Director K Sreenivas Reddy and alleged it was to dilute the investigations into the liquor syndicate scam and for making attempts to shield the corrupt ministers.
Instead of taking serious action against corrupt officials, the government had been resorting to transfer of outright and sincere officials who were discharging their duties efficiently, he pointed out.
He also criticized the Chief Minister for not responding on the CAG Report which found fault with the government over land allotments under SEZs to industrialists.
