Opposition parties TDP and TRS have fully endorsed the charge of the health minister D L Ravindra Reddy that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was himself a covert of the YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
TRS leader Vinod is also of the view that excepting few leaders who were opposed to Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy even when he was alive, no one was seriously criticizing Jagan. He says they were observing the growing strength of Jagan and if Jagan’s party wins majority of the seats, several Congress leaders might cross the fence and jump to his side. He has asked why Lagadapati Raja Gopal, who was known for his frankness, was not criticizing Jagan. Vinod said if YSRC wins the be by-polls, Congress would have to close its shop like it did in West Bengal, Maharashtra and Tamilnadu where Congress splinter groups led by Mamata Benerjee, Sharad Pawar and Karuppayya Mooppanar have become the main forces.
