Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today congratulated ISRO scientists led by its Chairman K Radhakrishnan for the successful launch of its indigenous satellite’ RISAT-1. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) carrying the radar imaging satellite lifted off from Sriharikota Spaceport successfully, an official release here said.
The Chief Minister greeted the scientists for achieving yet another milestone in the space exploration by the country. He said that PSLV-C19 has successfully injected India’s first indigenous radar imaging satellite RISAT-1 into the orbit. Mr Reddy said it is a proud moment for India, the release added.
