Tamil film Vijay’s Theri has been pulled by theatre corporation Cineplex following three GTA attacks in Brampton, Scarborough and Mississauga theaters involving a pepper spray-like substance.
Cineplex Inc. says it is canceling all remaining showings of the film Theri across Toronto after three separate GTA movie theatres had to be evacuated Friday because a noxious substance — possibly pepper spray. It has decided not to screen any Tamil movie until investigation wrt to 4/22 incident is over.
On Friday night around 7:20 p.m, attacks happened during screening of the action movie Theri. It is still an ongoing investigation involving mischief and administering a noxious substance, said Toronto Police.
