China launches manned space mission

chinaChina has launched a manned space mission on the Shenzhou-11 spacecraft with two astronauts on board. The spacecraft will dock with space lab Tiangong2 within 2 days.

Chinese astronauts Jing Haipeng, 50, and Chen Dong, 37, were blasted off into space by Shenzhou-11 spacecraft from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre near the Gobi Desert in northwest China.

Both the astronauts will stay for 30 days before returning to Earth. Chinese President Xi Jinping, congratulated everyone engaged in the mission for the successful launch
