Chidambaram and Pranab shielding Jagan

TDP senior leaders Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Durga Prasad and Linga Reddy have alleged that Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee were saving YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Talking to the media here on Tuesday, they questioned as to why the CBI has not arrested Jagan, though it had filed three charge-sheets, naming him as the first accused. Alleging that the Union government was making hectic efforts to save Jagan, they said efforts were on to dilute the case against him.

Stating that there were numerous instances of police beating up petty criminals on the roads and causing lock-up deaths in the State, they said it was surprising that Jagan, who had swindled Rs 1 lakh crores was being treated with kid gloves. Referring to the statement of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy that Jagan had a palace containing 70 rooms, they have sarcastically questioned if he took so long to realize it.
