Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu wants to make the state a technology hub like Hyderabad.
After Bifurcation, AP is lagging behind job creation as there was not IT based city like Hyderabad , which exports over 75k Crores worth software and has over 4 Lakh employees.
Naidu plans to target IT sector and has set a target of creating 5 lakh jobs in the state by 2020 . The state government is exploring new areas in this sector like cyber security, financial technology like blockchain and internet of things.
AP has partnered with Israel on cyber security, with University of California, Berkeley, to create a blockchain centre in Vishakapatnam.
