Buoyed by the timely arrival of monsoon, the state government od Andhra Pradesh begins agricultural operations through the ‘Eruvaka’ program.
Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will formally launch ‘Eruvaka’ by driving the tractor in Udegolam village in Rayadurgam Mandal in Anantapur district on Friday.
Naidu began groundnut seed sowings in the lands of former Vannappa and also offer Ganga poojas for a farm pond.
The government announced a new scheme, ‘Rythu Ratham’, to supply tractors to small and marginal farmers. About 6,000 tractors would be distributed on subsidy.
