Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu strongly differed on the Centers’ stand to remain non-committal on granting special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
He said, Since the private member bill, moved by the Congress MP in Rajya Sabha is not a finance bill , if
passed, it would be an Act.
He alleged that by means of fraud and illegal activities, the state has been divided, without taking then United AP into confidence. He reiterated that , Two regions had to be taken into confidence before bifurcation, but not happened.
Naidu expressed his disappointment over the proceedings in Rajya Sabha in which Arun Jaitley has submitted his points against the special status. He questioned , What is the link between 14th finance commission and AP special status? . Even the 14th commission stated that AP will have revenue deficit, Even other states which are in deficit got revenues from center.
He criticised the Congress on private bill , Congress issued whip and created hungama in first two days but today they did not pressured and walked out from Rajya Sabha.
He said, He is not asking favours from BJP , but asking the center’s help repeatedly to come out of deficit. Even the Supreme court faulted the bifurcation proceedings
