Chandrababu compromised special status for his cases : Jagan

jagan_yachuryYSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy called for a state wide bandh on August 28 from the dias at Jantar Mantar in Delhi where the party held a sit-in protest demanding special status to andhra Pradesh.

Jagan in his speech slammed at ruling BJP government at center and TDP government at the state. What has prevented these parties from implementing a Cabinet resolution passed by the previous government?” he asked. He said, the 14th Finance Commission’s has nothing to do with special category status to AP. He said, when the AP recoragantion bill was introduced , BJP demanded 10 years special status to the state and remained mum after getting into power.

AP CM Chandrababu has compromised the special category status for cases against him in ‘cash for vote’. He bargained special category status for not opening of his cases . He said, Special status enables us to get more percentage of central funds in the form of grants and exemption for many taxes and duties which will attract investments and the process of development will speed up with the high economic activity.

He also slammed Congress saying that the party has divided the state in an undemocratic manner, has been mum on the issue for over 17 months and did not even raise the issue in the Parliament but Rahul Gandhi comes to AP to fight for special status.

YSRCP President has given a state-wide bandh call on August 28 three days before the assembly session slated for August 31.

CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury came in support of YSRCP said, His party has opposed AP reorganisation bill , He said even after one year BJP is least bothered about AP.
