Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu breakdown to tears and has expressed his deep condolences at the loss of lives due to stampede that took place at Kotagummam pushkar ghat in Rajahmundry on the first day of Godavari Pushkaralu.
The chief minister has announced Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia each for the families of those killed in the stampede during Godavari pushkaralu in Rajahmundry.
At least 22 pilgrims, mostly women, were killed and 20 others injured in a stampede during Godavari pushkaralu in Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
He said , Its government responsibility to take care of victims families. He said the administration has failed to analyse the traffic and failed in crowd management. He said, He has monitored the crowds from control room .
He said, More security measures will be arranged and a thorough probe would be conducted over it.
