CBI plea on Vijay Sai’s bail to be heard on Wed

The Andhra Pradesh High Court today adjourned till Wednesday hearing on CBI’s petition that seeks cancellation of bail granted to Jagati Publications vice chairman V Vijay Sai Reddy in the alleged disproportionate assets case involving Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Justice K C Bhanu, while hearing the cancellation application, asked the CBI counsel as to why the other accused were not arrested and why Vijay Sai Reddy has been singled out for arrest and detention. The CBI counsel tried to explain that there is abundant material to connect Vijay Sai Reddy with the offence and the trial court most erroneously granted him bail on mere suspicion that he is being discriminated against and other accused are deliberately not arrested. Vijay Sai Reddy was granted conditional bail by the special CBI court here on April 13.
