CBI JD. Laxminarayana call data case update

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) informed the court on Thursday that a smart cover-up game was unsuccessfully played with the police in Nanded district of Maharashtra by those accused in the acquisition of the call data of the cellphone belonging to CBI joint director V.V. Lakshminarayana.

The remand report of K. Venka Reddy, who was arrested in the case on Wednesday, which was submitted to court by CID, said he filed a complaint in Mukhed police station of Nanded district on January 16 stating that he was getting threatening calls on his mobile phone from 9441113444 which was owned by Mr. Lakshminarayana. However, the call data was already with Venka Reddy and others 15 days earlier.
