CBI files 3rd charge sheet in Jagan Assets Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today filed the third supplementary charge sheet against six people, including an IAS Officer, in the Principal Sessions Court of CBI in the disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The third supplementary charge sheet named Jagan, son of Former Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy, as the prime accused followed by Vijay Sai Reddy (Jagan’s auditor), Jagathi Publications, Ramky Group Chairman Ayodhya Ramireddy and IAS officer G.Venkatram Reddy, currently Collector of Srikakulam District. The charge sheet submitted to the court officials consisted of 88 pages, 142 doucments and included 72 witnesses. The CBI had filed the first charge sheet on March 31 followed by the second on April 23. CBI sources said more charge sheets were likely to be filed as the investigation proceeded. The third charge sheet contained details of alleged undue favours granted to Ramky Infra during Dr Y S Rajashekhar Reddy’s tenure. Ramky Infra had been accused of depositing a huge sum of money in the accounts of Jagathi Publications owned by Jaganmohan Reddy. All the three charge sheets have been filed following investigations into the disproportionate assets case against Jagan.
