BJP would emerge stronger in next Parliament polls : Venkaiah

The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is the only alternative to the Congress in the country, Party Senior Leader and MP M Venkaiah Naidu today claimed and said the party would become stronger in the next Parliament elections. The losses suffered by the Congress in the recently held elections in three states and also in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi reflected the people’s anger against the Congress, Mr Naidu claimed at a press conference here. ‘We are happy about the trends in the recent elections including in Municipal Corporation of Delhi(MCD) poll and it is a clear indication of the mind of the people at national level,’ Mr Naidu said. Instability of government, corruption and price rise resulted in the Congress losing confidence among people of the three states, including Goa. The BJP would emerge stronger in the next Parliament Elections when it would make public the name of candidate for the Prime Minister’s post. Mr Naidu cliamed the Congress only had media image and not public image which was reflected in its electoral losses. Dismissing the idea of a third front, he said public were showing interest only in national parties. To another question, he said his party in Goa had reduced tax on petrol and the same should be adopted in Congress-run states.
