The Rajya Sabha discusses status of implementation of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014.
Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said that the central government would fulfill its commitments under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act and it had taken several steps for the state’s development.
Speaking on special status He said, whatever the issues are there in AP State Reorganisation Act 2014, it will be implemented. Those issues, which are not in act, can not be addressed. He further said, Attorney General has been asked to asses the special status issue. As soon as the report will come out, steps will be taken in this regard.
He read out several projects and grants given to the state, like upcoming defence projects Upgradation of Airports , Education Institutions , Highways and Polavaram . The government is very much committed for the development of Andhra Pradesh. He said, “Jithana Atta Itna Roti” .
He said, there is lot of differences among the state and center’s figures over Revenue deficits , central team is working on it.
