Actor Manchu Manoj’s “dream project” – ” Oo Kodathara Ulikki Padathara” – is almost complete and the actor is feeling pretty confident about it. For this film, the producer and his sister Manchu Lakshmi erected a huge Gandharva Mahal set which costs a cool `6.5 crores.
The other highlight of the project, which was planned three years ago, is the fact that Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing an important character in it. He is essaying the role of a zamindar. Director Shekar Raja had earlier worked as an assistant director under popular director Krishna Vamsi.
Apart from the Gandharva Mahal set, the film is also shot at Antarvedi. The excited actor has ensured that he is involved in every aspect of this film. He has directed the action scenes himself. Manoj recently even injured his nose while doing some action sequences. “Injured my nose in UKUP stunts…:(( escaped with a minor cut :)) Well good news is tomorrow is the last day of shoot,(sic)” he posted on his microblogging page. He also tweeted – “Been shooting since eight days in direct sun with bare body. Fight is rocking though:) worth it 🙂 God it’s hot…. Burnt my bicep and broke my nose in #UKUP stunt 🙁 I am dead when I go home (sic)”. The actor is celebrating his birthday today with the movie unit and family.
