In a shameful incident, 2017 New Year even turns nightmare for Bengaluru women, as Hundreds of women molested on New Year’s eve by hooligans. Mass molestation on new year’s eve at India’s silicon valley become talk of the country.
Criticism on social media as Police acted as mute spectators. Chaitali Wasnik (Victim) stated that there is No safe spaces of women in India. About 15-20 men tried to stop her from hitting the molester, but none stopped the molester. She said men, who are drunk and unashamed, continue to assault women.
Reacting on this shameful incident G Parameshwara, Karnataka Home Minister said, “It’s unfortunate !!, They had installed more than 25 CCTVs, will examine. Such incidents do happen on #NewYear day and on Christmas. We take a lot of precautions”.

Police are scanning CCTV footage to verify if some young women were molested and abused during the New Year eve revelry in the city centre.
The incident took place in the busy areas of MG Road and Brigade Road where men groped and verbally abused women revelers even as policemen were present in large numbers.
