Ravinder Reddy (Aditya Menon), a factionist and a good-hearted person, is killed by his enemy Pratap Reddy (Ajay). Ravinder’s legacy is carried by his sister Bhanumati Devi (Ramya Krishna) and rivalry continues with Pratap Reddy. Pratap wants to kill the Bhanumati niece Aadhya (Regina).Apparently, Bhanumati arranges a bodyguard Balu(Nara Rohit) for Adya safety. She also announced a cash reward of Rs 10 crore for anyone who can capture or kill Pratap Reddy. Pratap escapes from prison and wants to end her life. Balakrishna accidentally runs into Pratap Reddy on the highway. Will Balu saves Aadhya’s life from the factionist? Or not? How does love develop between Balu and Aadhya? forms Balakrishnudu.
Nara Rohith has become slim for the film. This is the first time that he plays in pakka Commercial film. Regina is beautiful on screen. She impresses the youth with her glamour. Ramya Krishna as Bhanumati Devi has performed well in her range. Ajay did his regular job. Prithvi acting is the major strength of entertainment. The rest of the characters are good.
Balakrishnudu is a Routine story. There is no freshness in story or narration of the film but has all the commercial elements required. Particularly good humour. Many scenes are very hilarious. In the beginning of the film, the introduction scenes were just normal. After entry of Prithvi (30 Years Prithvi), entertainment has begun. The comedy timing of the scenes between Nara Rohit and Prithvi worked out well. Though the story turns out many twists, each scene ends with the viewer’s perspective. Srinivas Reddy’s play in the second half was just normal and bit stretching.Sentiments lack in Regina family scenes. The climax should have been more appealing.
Technically the film scores good marks. Production values are good. The director Pawan Mallalla should have taken more care of the story and the narration. Vijay C Kumar Camera, Mani Sharma Music, Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao Editing are good. The rest of the departments showed good performance.
