Balakrishna chose Hollywood script for his 100th.

Balakrishna’s who is tasting flops has lost faith on Tollywood regular script and landed in Hollywood for better script. His  landmark 100th film will be a big-budget action adventure inspired by Disney’s popular animated feature The Lion King (1994). In the T-town version, the scion of the Nandamuri family reportedly plays the role of a king with Nayantara as his queen.

The original story is about Simba, a lion cub who is next in line to be king of the Pride Lands in Africa after his father Mufasa. But the king is killed by his jealous younger brother Scar, who also tricks Simba into leaving the kingdom by convincing the young cub that he is responsible for the death of his father. Years later, a grown-up Simba returns to the Pride Lands to avenge his father’s death and rightfully take his place as king by dethroning his evil uncle. Balakrishna plays the role of a king with Nayantara as his queen and his son Mokshagna might play young King role.

Another highlight of this project is that the star is turning director with this Rs 30 crore extravaganza to be produced by Yalamanchali Saibaba, of Sri Rama Rajyam fame. The film’s shoot is expected to start on June 10, which also happens to be Balakrishna’s birthday.
