The Special CBI at Nampally here today granted bail to V D Rajagopal, Former Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC), arrested in the Obulapuram Mining Company case.
Granting the bail, the court asked him to desposit two sureties worth Rs.50,000 and asked him to surrender his passport.
The court also asked him to appear before the CBI office twice every week —Tuesday and Friday. He was also asked not to interfere in the investigation. Rajagopal was arrested on November 12, 2011 on the charge of connivance with Gali Janardhana Reddy and others in the Obulapuram Mining Company case.
Rajagopal is named as the third accused in the case, while senior IAS officer Srilakshmi Yerra , who was currently in Chenchalguda Jail, was listed as the fourth.
