Power star Pawan Kalyan’s “Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu” is going to grand release every where throughout the world with record number of theaters for its first day of release , but in Chennai the story is going completely in reverse way.
According to latest reports for Chennai, CGR is feeling the heat from Surya’s latest release Maattrraan which was released last week occupied all the theaters in its second week too.Apart, four other new Tamil releases , Two English releases, Two Hindi releases and Two Malayalam releases are lined up making Shortage of screens in Chennai. Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh opened in 42 screens in Tamil Nadu and took 2012’s best ever opening for a Telugu film in Tamil Nadu while CGR got only 22 screens . CGR is being distributed in Tamilnadu by Abirami Mega Mall who is Chennai city distributor of Maattrraan. They have tried their best but no screens
CGR Tamil Nadu rights were sold for very hefty price of 52 lakhs keeping Pawan Kalyan’s image in view, But release time is not favouring the distributor . If good reviews for the film, screens will be increased by weekend.
