Attacking the Center, TDP Lok Sabha MP Jayadev Galla has turned Baahubali taking on the Central government over Union budget allocations to Andhra Pradesh. He said the movie accumulations of blockbuster ‘Baahubali’ were more than the funds given to Andhra Pradesh.
TDP MPs continued their protests in the two Houses against the non-allocations that were made by the NDA government during bifurcation of the state. They likewise organized a walkout in Lok Sabha.
Blaming the NDA government Galla questioned that allocations made in last four years. Alluding to the assets gave by the Center to Andhra Pradesh, Galla joked that even the accumulations made by Telugu film Baahubali were more than what the state got.
As per reports, Telugu blockbuster Baahubali-2 earned about Rs 1,700 crore from Indian and abroad markets. Galla said special category status to the state, setting up of a new railway zone and funding construction of new capital of Amravati were all pending. He said the general population of Andhra Pradesh were no nitwits and won’t pardon the BJP.
The Center should give Rs 10,000 crore and grant package immediately and said TDP will reevaluate the alliance relationship.
