Arun Jaitley responded to the concerns of Telugu Desam Party MPs in Rajya Sabha. They said they are committed to implementing the AP bifurcation promises. A special package has already been announced for Andhra Pradesh. We are discussing how to give funds in special package form.
He put forth the expressions in the two Houses of Parliament where MPs of TDP, YSR Congress and the Congress have been dissenting for as long as two days over “non-execution” of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act.
He said,” A solution by which an amount can be given through an alternative mechanism is being worked out. I have asked the expenditure secretary to immediately call the finance secretary of Andhra Pradesh to Delhi and work out procedural formalities,” he said.
“We will replace the deficit in the form of funding of foreign financing project (EAP). On the Jan 3rd, Chief Minister Chandrababu had written a letter to them and requested to allocate funds through NABARD. There is a problem in funding NAP by the NABARD, It will reduce the state debt. An amount of Rs 3,900 crore was already paid for AP Revenue Deficit.
Over Vizag Railway zone, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said that all the states are in consultation with the Railway Zone. We are trying to find a positive solution for the zone.
