AP to get 2070 crores from RBI on Naidu’s appeal

naiduAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has appealed the Reserve Bank of India to release small currency to end the ongoing crisis due to Demonetization of Rs.500 and 1000 notes.

Addressing the bankers said, Naidu said the state government developed a technology to carry out cashless transactions, using Aadhaar card and smartphone connected to the bio-metric device but the bankers are not adopting it.He sought the cooperation of bankers to encourage mobile banking transactions.

The RBI official told Naidu that they have already disbursed 1300 crores of 500 notes and in two days AP would get another 2070 crores.
