Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today launched Praja Patham Welfare Programmes in the Nakkapalli Village in the district. Speaking after launching Praja Patham Welfare Programmes here, he said Rs 45 crore had been released and another Rs 55 crore would be released shortly to meet the drinking water shortage in the districts.
Mr Reddy said the state government had taken several welfare measures for the farmers as the government was committed for their welfare. He said the government had decided to provide interest free loans up to Rs one lakh to 95 lakh farmers in the state.
The State Government had already released at Rs 1,600 crore as input subsidy for farmers in the drought hit areas and the amount had been directly deposited into the farmers’ bank accounts, he added.
