AP Assembly adjourned sine die

The 46-day Budget Session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly today adjourned sine die after passing Appropriation Bills without any debate amidst pandemonium in the House over the demand for separate Telangana state. Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy introduced the appropriation bills which were later passed by voice vote amidst noisy scenes by the TRS and Telangana TDP members who rushed to the Speaker’s podium raising slogans for a separate telengana state. They also held placards to support their demand. Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, on behalf of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, moved three bills which sought to amend Andhra Pradesh Value Added Tax to incorporate budget pronouncements. They were later passed without much discussion. With the passage of five bills today, altogether 16 government bills have been passed in the session without any discussion. The entire Demand for Grants for various departments were also passed without any debate
