Anything but No Special Status to AP : Arun Jaitley

arun-jaitleyUnion Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has ruled out the chances of granting ‘Special Category Status’ to Andhra Pradesh.

TDP and BJP MPs from Andhra Pradesh have met the union ministers Arun Jaitley and Rajnath Singh over the special status to AP. Arun Jaitley assured the MPs that the central government is ready to address all the issues that arose after bifurcation of the state.

He clarified them that Center would do more than that was stated in Bifurcation bill. Center would grant more funds and projects to AP to make up for the financial loss the state is subjected to on account of bifurcation of state. They will do justice to AP in all respects, said jaitley.

Jaitley said, the last UPA government made false promises to the state by announcing the special category status and now messing the things . But Jaitley sir has to answer, BJP’s stand over special status, the demand of Venkaiah Naidu in parliament asking 10 years Special status and Narendra Modi’s promise in election meeting in AP.

TDP MP Sujana Chowdary said special state status and industrial package were two different things and that Arun Jaitley has given instructions to increase the industrial package to AP.

JC Diwakar Reddy said, the NDA government has assured to allocate funds and incentives to AP, but not special status.
